The center is excited to celebrate with Amy Waltz, JD, CIP, Affiliate Faculty at IUCB, as she steps into her new role as Research Integrity Officer for the IU Office of Research Compliance!

Ms. Waltz was promoted into this role after previously serving as Deputy Research Integrity Officer for 6 years. In this new position, she will oversee the Office’s mission to receive and facilitate investigations of research misconduct. She will coordinate and oversee misconduct inquiries at all IU campuses and ensure compliance with IU’s policies and federal regulations. Additionally, Ms. Waltz will spearhead Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training for researchers across the IU network.

Ms. Waltz says she “fell into” a career in compliance after completing an externship in the former Compliance and Privacy Office during her training at IU McKinney School of Law. Knowing she wanted a career in an in-house role. She says, “compliance makes good use of my JD skillset, and I have found it to be a great fit.”

We congratulate Ms. Waltz and look forward to her continued leadership at IU.
